This certified organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is made from 100% Moresca olives that are cultivated on the farm of the producer. The farm is located in the heart of Sicily, on an altitude level where no olive lace bugs occur, which guarantees a top quality of olives. The harvest for this medium cold pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil is exclusively hand-picked mid-way through the ripening period of the olives in order to preserve and exalt the antioxidant and aromatic characteristics, which results in a mild spicy note. The olives are being pressed 12 to maximum 24 hours after harvesting to guarantee the highest quality of this organic EVOO which has won several awards: At the fair BIOFach in Nuremberg In 2018, it was voted among the 15 best organic olive oils from all over the world, and it was awarded a gold medal at the fair BIOL in 2016.
